2008 Management Clinic Registration Now OpenSource: ANLA

Registration is now open for the American Nursery & Landscape Association (ANLA) Management Clinic, Feb. 8-11, 2008, in Louisville, Ky. The clinic is the green industry’s only event focused exclusively on developing the business skills of owners and managers in growing, distributing (re-wholesaling), landscaping and retailing. Attendees will experience 48 new sessions with never-before-heard speakers that are new to the industry.

This year’s event will launch interactive, “classroom-style” advanced learning labs. These newly designed sessions will challenge attendees to be “hands on” during the session, in order to take a plan of action back home to their businesses. Prospective learning lab attendees should be prepared to be tasked with anything from preparing for sessions beforehand, to completing worksheets and spreadsheets during the session, to working on their laptops.

Steve Farber, Eileen McDargh, Carr Hagerman and Mick Lunzer will headline this year’s Management Clinic, with a special bonus session from “the idea guy” Dr. Alan Robinson. Steve Farber, author of The Radical Leap: A Personal Lesson in Extreme Leadership, is a recipient of Fast Company magazine’s Readers’ Choice Award.

“Last year’s Management Clinic was so successful, with attendance growing by more than 30 percent that we had to move our dates this year,” says Management Clinic committee co-chair, Jon Reelhorn. “With the winter trade show season busier than ever, we worked hard to try to avoid direct overlap with any other industry events. This will allow us to ensure there are plenty of hotel rooms and the additional room we will need for the ninth workshop track we are adding this year. That means more than 90 educational sessions for you and your team to choose from.”
