2010 Farwest to Feature New ProductsSource: Farwest Show

This year’s Farwest Show will include a New Product Showcase that gathers all the hottest new products, inventions and nursery equipment together in one location on the show floor.

A 600-square-foot display will be dedicated to nonplant products and services introduced to the U.S. market in 2009 or 2010. To be included in the showcase, a product must improve green industry practices or promote green industry success; offer a new or unique advantage or characteristic; and be available for sale by a 2010 Farwest Show exhibitor.

“The New Product Showcase is one of several new additions to the show that we believe will enhance the experience for attendees. It also provides excellent visibility opportunities for exhibitors unveiling new products and services,” said John Aguirre, executive director of the Oregon Association of Nurseries. “Not only will floor space be dedicated to the showcase, but Digger: Farwest Edition, our association publication, will devote space to showcasing the new products and services.”

The New Product Showcase complements the plant-focused New Varieties Showcase display garden, which features new plants available for sale in the fall of the current year or spring of next year. The plant showcase was introduced five years ago. Seminars and workshops throughout the show will address strategic and tactical aspects of business for garden centers, growers and landscape professionals.

OAN, a trade association with some 1,200 members, produces the Farwest Show as well as other educational events for the nursery industry. The 2010 Farwest Show will take place Aug. 26 to 28 in Portland, Ore. For more information about the New Products Showcase and other show features, visit www.farwestshow.com.
