Opened in 1910, Linder’s Greenhouse & Garden Center in St. Paul, Minn., announced plans to close its doors for good in the coming months, reports Naomi Pescovitzm, kstp.com.

“Since my great grandfather came over and we started with celery and worked our way up to flowers and what we’ve been doing for the past 20 some years. And unfortunately, closing our doors as of 2013,” said David Linder, Garden Center Assistant Manager.

The business has not made it clear of an official closing date. “It’s hard, it’s really hard, this was everything our family’s worked for,” Linder said.

Pescovitzm adds, Linder’s management notes several factors led to this descision. “The way the economy was, people have had to save more money, we understand that,” Linder said.
