America in Bloom Elects Officers and Board MembersSource: OFA

America in Bloom (AIB) announced the election of its officers and board members at its March 14 annual meeting.

Marvin Miller of Ball Horticultural Company in West Chicago, Ill., was re-elected as president; Stan Pohmer of Pohmer Consulting in Minnetonka, Minn., was re-elected as vice president; and John R. Holmes of OFA – an Association of Floriculture Professionals – in Columbus, Ohio, was re-elected as the secretary/treasurer.

In addition, Jonathan Bardzik of the American Nursery & Landscape Association and Katy Moss Warner of the American Horticultural Society were re-elected to another three-year term on the board. Evelyn Alemanni of Escondido, Calif., and Jack Clasen of Mason, Ohio, were elected as new members of the board of directors.

Founded in 2001, AIB is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting nationwide beautification programs and both personal and community involvement through the use of flowers, plants, trees and other environmental and lifestyle enhancements, and to providing relatd educational programs and resources. AIB has grown to engage more than 160 communities in 37 states. Collectively, these communities represent more than 21 million people.
