American Garden Award Extends Voting DeadlineSource: American Garden Award

The deadline for voting in the American Garden Award contest has been extended until Sept. 30, 2011.

The American Garden Award provides the gardening public with the opportunity to vote on the specific variety they think has the most appealing garden characteristics. This award helps provide growers with an idea of what consumers like and would buy and plant in their own gardens.

In 2010, consumers voted for Ernst Benary of America’s rudbeckia ‘Denver Daisy’ as the grand prize award winner. Echinacea ‘Prairie Splendor’ from Syngenta Flowers came in second.

If you are visiting one AGA’s 24 Display Gardens, all entries will remain on display until the end of September, weather permitting.

For more information or to vote, please visit the American Garden Award website.
