AmericanHort Plans Fall Nursery Tour

From September 15-16, AmericanHort is hosting a tour of growing facilities in the Minneapolis region.

The Field & Covered Production Tour stops include :

• Bailey Nurseries, Newport, Minnesota
• Bachman’s Nursery Wholesale Center , Farmington, Minnesota
• Gertens Greenhouses & Garden Center , Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota
• Minnesota Landscape Arboretum , Chaska, Minnesota

Participants can attend the classroom portion of the event, which provides information on:

• Neonicotinoids and pollinator health
• Rack loads versus floor/deck stack loads
• Lighting, CO2 and temperature
• Community gravel beds to diversify urban forests
• An update on research projects affecting the horticulture industry
