Armstrong To Give Customers 2 Million Ladybugs

The arrival of spring means the highly anticipated return of ladybugs at Armstrong Garden Centers.

The arrival of spring means the highly anticipated return of ladybugs at Armstrong Garden Centers. Ladybug weekend will take place on Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24 at all 32 Armstrong Garden Centers locations.

One free packet of ladybugs harvested from colonies in California’s foothills will be handed out to customers at check-out with purchase while supplies last. Armstrong Garden Centers anticipates giving away 2 million of these “good bugs” to encourage healthy lawns and gardens.

All customers that receive ladybugs will also get instructions on how to properly release them into their yards. Following these simple steps can help ensure that unwanted or “bad bugs” don’t have an opportunity to negatively impact a beautiful lawn and garden.

To celebrate ladybug weekend, Arstrong Garden Centers hosts two free classes:

  • Saturday, April 23 at 9:00 a.m. – Ladybugs and Other Good Bugs – Many insects are excellent garden helpers. Learn which plants are best for attracting these beneficial insects along with how they can help your garden flourish.
  • Sunday, April 24 at 10:00 a.m. – Organic Gardening – Learn everything you need to know from building soil health to problem-solving using organic products and techniques.

Armstrong’s Advantage Club customers also can participate in exclusive ladybug release parties.
