Ball Earns Organic Seed Handling Certification

In response to recent attention given to sustainability and organics, Ball Horticultural Co. has earned certification to process and distribute organic seed by the Organic Crop Improvement Association under the National Organic Program (NOP) regulations from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Ball organic seed comes from a range of certified seed producers. From the moment seed arrives at the Ball distribution center until it is shipped to customers, stringent processing guidelines from the NOP assure that the seed remains “Certified Organic.” With certified organic production methods, it may carry the USDA organic seal all the way into gardeners’ hands.
