PSW Pot Collection Wins Pottery “Best in Show” at IGC 2009
Penang International’s PSW Pot Collection took home the “Best in Show” title for the pottery category at the 2009 Independent Garden Center Show in August. But these pots aren’t just a pretty face; General Manager Brady Lo said value played a big role in the line’s showing at the event. “Customers were also impressed by their price and the eco-friendly nature,” Lo said. The PSW Pots are named after their makeup: plastic, stone powder and wood dust, all of which are recycled. The pots’ color is infused into the polymer, and the pots are durable and withstand extreme weather conditions, including frost, dry heat, and humidity thanks to their unique blend of materials.
After two years of testing, Penang International, Inc. launched the pots line last year for an initial test market at 16 lawn and garden centers. After successful sales this past spring, the PSW Pot Collection gained a national position by aligning with several lawn and garden distributors.
