The Penn Atlantic Nursery Trade Show will bring the latest in green trends to garden centers and landscape contractors and nurseries July 28 to 30 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pa. Now in its 37th year, PANTS will welcome more than 550 exhibitors and thousands of buyers from garden centers, landscape contractors and nurseries to the annual marketplace for green goods, hard goods and equipment.

In addition to the exhibits, PANTS offers tours of the area’s leading garden centers, outstanding private gardens, green roofs in the Philadelphia area and local nurseries (available for a fee). Free seminars, including Judy Sharpton on the latest in retail trends for garden centers and business opportunities for growers and landscape contractors in the recent government push for “green infrastructure.”

Other special events planned include :

  • The PANTS Equipment Auction will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
  • The state Senate Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee and the state Joint Conservation Committee will holding hearings on green infrastructure at 10 a.m. July 29, followed by a luncheon ($25, registration required).
  • A pig roast will be held at 5 p.m. July 29 ($25, registration required).
