Greenstreet Gardens Sets Third Location; Hires Marketing Director
Greenstreet Growers of Lothian, MD, recently purchased Eclectic Nature Gift and Garden Center in Alexandria, VA, reports Shantee Woodards of CapitalGazette.com. This will make for Greenstreet’s third garden center location, which will now be referred to as Greenstreet Gardens of Del Ray.
The Greenstreet Growers farm (in Lothian) will supply the green goods for this new location. A full calendar of events, seminars and workshops are also expected for the new store later this summer.
Additionally, Greenstreet Growers recently announced the addition of Michaela Fralen to the position of marketing director.
This position was created as a result of the company’s growing emphasis on increasing the number and scope of special events at what is now three retail locations. In addition to the logistics of events, Fralen will also handle public and media relations to drive attendance and bring general awareness within the community.
A graduate of Quinnipiac University, Fralen has several years of experience in the field of marketing and events. She has worked for both the Baltimore Ravens organization as well as Gaylord National Resort in National Harbor, where she honed her skills in marketing, public relations, event planning and promotions.
Fralen will plan and orchestrate dozens of major events at Greenstreet Gardens throughout the year, including TomatoMania, Plant It Pink, Fall Festival and many other seminars and workshops, including Vera Bradley seasonal events.
“This is a big step forward, bringing Michaela on board,” said Ray Greenstreet, owner of Greenstreet Growers. “Our company has been steadily growing over the past few years, giving us the opportunity to explore and expand our special events programs. Although we have built our business model around special events for years, the addition of Michaela and her skill sets will bring us to a new level.”
