Hort Couture Introduces Two New Basil Varieties for Spring 2015
Hort Couture recently introduced two new basil varieties to its Culinary Couture Collection for Spring 2015 ‘Chocolate Swirl’ and ‘Giant Purple’.
Basil PESTO ‘Chocolate Swirl’ is a new vegetative basil that is not only a valuable culinary variety with rich, pungent foliage but has aesthetic good looks to make it a show stopper for beds or containers.
Basil PESTO ‘Giant Purple’ is also vegetative and is a very strong growing purple basil that makes it ideal for production and gives the consumer a performance driven variety especially in early spring when purple basil tends to struggle.
Culinary Couture has 13 new varieties added for Spring 2015. This IGC Exclusive program offers wonderful, cutting edge varieties grown in an oversized plug so that the turnover and profitability for the grower is maximized.
