Each year Just Add Ice asks consumers to complete a brief research study, which helps the company gain a better understanding of important demographic details and lifestyle preferences. Data was collected from over 2,400 participants, with survey results showing the following highlights:

  • 75 percent of customers were more influenced by quality than price.
  • 69 percent of consumers own more than one orchid.
  • 55 percent of consumers purchased two or more orchids in 2015.
  • Over 90 percent of consumers were influenced by ease of care and website support as top factors when purchasing an orchid.
  • 46 percent of consumers preferred an earth-tone pot color, while 28% of consumers enjoyed a traditional design aesthetic.

Just Add Ice also announced the availability of Watercolor Orchids, a line of premium orchids dyed for an artistic touch. Based on a thoroughly tested process to ensure the highest quality consistency, the dyeing process does not shorten the life of the orchid. Using multiple colors in addition to white varieties, blooms can begin to change colors within twenty-four hours.

Available in six dyed colors of green, orange, pink, blue, marble blue and purple wash, the flower buds will still open colored as a lighter version of the main dye color and rebloomed plants will flower their original orchid color.
