OFA – an Association of Floriculture Professionals – is offering the Five Key Ingredients for Garden Center Success, to take place Oct. 3 in Indianapolis, Ind., and Oct. 5 in Columbus, Ohio.

Ian Baldwin will show attendees how to create a shopping experience that attracts new customers, retains existing customers and increases the average sale. Attendees will learn how to:

  • Align with tomorrow’s customer while maintaining current customers.
  • Get maximum traffic to pass maximum product.
  • Identify barriers to customer success.
  • Think like a customer.
  • Analyze the numbers needed to track and use in order to make a profit.

Baldwin operates Nursery Business Consultants in Elk Grove, Calif., and assists independent retailers in a wide range of design, merchandising and training aspects of profitability.
