P. Allen Smith Hosts First Annual Garden2Blog EventSource: Hortus Ltd. - P. Allen Smith Companies

On April 26 and 27, P. Allen Smith and his Garden Home partners will host 24 garden bloggers from around the country for two days of trend sharing and knowledge exchange.

“The bloggers who will be joining us represent a unique group of people who are changing the way people are receiving information,” says Mimi San Pedro, chief marketing and operating officer of Hortus Ltd. “The essence of Garden2Blog is to create a place for us to share ideas and information about our industry, to talk trends and inspiration and to simply get to know each other better.”

The event begins with tours of area gardens designed by Allen and his team at P. Allen Smith & Associates, including the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion, Marlsgate Plantation and private client residences. The day ends with a tour and party Allen’s original Garden Home in Little Rock’s historic Quapaw Quarter.

A full day at the Garden Home Retreat at Moss Mountain Farm follows with tours of the house and surrounding gardens, plus workshops featuring hands-on demonstrations conducted by Garden Home partners and much more. The event wraps up with an evening dinner celebration at Moss Mountain Farm.

“I’m looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Garden Home Retreat and getting to know individuals in the online gardening community,” Smith says. “It’s such a creative and knowledgeable group coming to visit. I can’t wait to see what shakes out of our time together.”
