Petitti’s Plans Ninth Location
Mentor, Ohio, will be the future home of the ninth Petitti Garden Center. The Mentor Planning Commission approved the final site plan for Petitti Garden Center with a 7-0 vote, reports Jacob Lammers, News Herald.
Portions of the business will use an existing 19,500-square-foot building. Additionally, a 22,000-square-foot A-frame greenhouse will be constructed.
“An open garden center also will occupy about 24,697 square feet of space in front of the greenhouse and will extend 150 feet into the existing asphalt parking lot,” Lammers writes.
Owner Angelo Petitti says, “We’ve had a lot of people call for years looking for us to open up a garden center there.”
The store plan to open on March 1, 2011. According to the owner, it will employ 35 full-time and an additional 35 seasonal employees. For more information about the newest Petitti Garden Center, click here.
