Residents Disapprove Garden Center RezoningSource: Baltimore Sun

Whether the space is rezoned for a restaurant, banquet facility, convenience store or pharmacy, residents in Clarksville, Md., are speaking out against River Hill Garden Center’s rezoning efforts, citing an expansion would create more unwanted noise, traffic and lights in the area, reports Lindsey McPherson, Baltimore Sun.

“It’s stuff that would be operating really late at night and would be doing deliveries,” said a resident who is heading the opposition to a rezoning request from the garden center.

River Hill Garden Center owners, Stephen and Cathy Klein, are working with the Zoning Board to get their 6-acre residential property rezoned to add a non-seasonal element to their business. The owners says that without an additional business, the garden center may need to close.
