Spring Black Friday Takes Off At Big-Box Stores

Home improvement retailers such as Lowe’s and Home Depot have embraced spring sales for years, but now Wal-Mart is really pushing its lawn goods, according to an article in The New York Times.

Wal-Mart will begin its “Black-Friday-like prices” on items such as grills, mulch and patio furniture on Friday, March 21, and they will continue for nine days. These deals are scheduled around the official start of spring, March 20.

Home Depot and Lowe’s, however, scatter their spring sales based on the weather throughout the country. Lowe’s first Spring Black Friday deals begin March 21 in some areas of the South.
