A garden center in the south of England was recently fined £21,000 (Approx. $33,000) after committing eight serious food and health and safety offenses.

A garden center in the south of England was recently fined £21,000 (Approx. $33,000) after committing eight serious food and health and safety offenses, reports the Plymouth Herald.

Discovered by local public health and protection officials during a routine inspections of the site, violations at Tamar View Nurseries Ltd of Carkeel related to LPG gas storage, working at height and food safety matters which included issues of cleanliness in the kitchen and cross-contamination of stored foods, Plymouth Herald explains. The nursery’s food safety management system was also found not to be being operated correctly.
