Weston Nurseries Hires Jim Connolly as Manager
Weston Nurseries has hired Jim Connolly to manage Weston’s Chelmsford, Massachusetts, garden center. Peter Mezitt, president of Weston Nurseries says, “We are thrilled to welcome Jim to our company. He is a well-known leader in our area who brings a tremendous amount of knowledge pertaining to buying and selling green goods and hard goods to both homeowners and landscape companies. I know he is looking forward to managing this location and working with our team to identify opportunities for growth in both locations.”
Jim has worked at Northeast Nursery in Peabody, Massachusetts, for 30 years and has been involved with all aspects of their retail and wholesale operations. In recent years, his responsibilities included the buying and selling of trees and shrubs for their wholesale business and retail garden center. Jim is also a past president of the Massachusetts Nursery and Landscape Association.
Weston Nurseries is a fourth generation family business headquartered in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. Currently in their 90th year, they opened their second garden center in Chelmsford in March of 2011.
