unnamed (5)This year’s 2016 Wild Bird Expo, in conjunction with the 3rd annual Heart of America Gift Show, has been scheduled for Sep. 27-29 and will again be held in Mexico, Missouri. Wild Bird Expo show coordinator, Brenda Wright, has announced some preliminary details for this year’s event.

“This year’s show will see the return of several popular features, in addition to a few new ones,” she said. “We already have several seminar speakers slated, all of which have stated they plan to discuss fresh new ideas and industry relative content. We’re pleased to announce that one of these speakers is Dr. David Horn.”

Several speakers are slated including, David Horn, associate professor of biology at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois and prncipal investigator for Project Wildbird, a 3-year, $1 million study funded by the Wild Bird Feeding Industry (WBFI) Research Foundation.

Year after year retailers consistently rank seminars as the top reason to attend the Wild Bird Expo, which has set the bar high for future sessions to provide engaging and fresh content. Further details on other speakers at this year’s show are scheduled for release within the upcoming months.

Also returning is Tuesday night’s Oktoberfest Beer, Brat and BBQ. During this event, vendor booths and the GCD show floor will again remain open as last year’s attendees commented that this really helped provide more valuable shopping time with vendors. Due to popular demand, a live band and German-themed refreshments will also make a return appearance.
