Ready for the IGC Show?By Abby (Kleckler) McGarry

The IGC Show is coming up next week (Aug. 15-17), and show organizers have a couple updates for you. First, they have added a fifth bus for the Monday garden center tour, meaning there’s now more room if you’d like to register.

The tour will be stopping at two locations of The Growing Place, Aquascape, Pasquesi Home and Gardens, and Atrium Garden Center. Find out more information here.

Also, you can participate in voting for your favorite introductions in the New Product Zone and New Plant Zone while at the show. Check out the full details.

The winning products will be announced at the Thursday keynote, which is The Retail Doctor himself, Bob Phibbs.

Phibbs recently re-shared an article he wrote a few years ago on social media, “25 Ways Independent Retailers Hobble Their Own Success.” One commenter called it the “10 Commandments of Retail.” I must agree they’re worth a read.

Coming to Chicago?

Will you be at the IGC Show? Let me know. I always love that it’s in my stomping grounds of Chicago, and I’d love to meet up while at the show.

It’s hard to leave the business for a few days, but hopefully you’ve added some extra time to see the city. If you’re sticking around for the weekend, you won’t want to miss the Chicago Air & Water Show.

Cheers,

Abby
