2019 Farwest Show Retail Tour to Visit Top-Rated IGCs
The 2019 Farwest Show, taking place August 21-23 in Portland, Ore., announced it will showcase four of the area’s best garden centers on its Go-to Garden Centers Retail Tour from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20.
Highly rated on Google and Yelp, the retail locations on this tour will inspire registered guests by showing them merchandise displays, product designs, retail space layouts and other ideas. The tour is sponsored by The Peters Co. of Wilsonville, Ore. The cost is $99 per person for those who register before July 31 and $119 per person for those who register August 1 or later. Space is limited; the tours can only accommodate 50 people each, and they often sell out.
Registered attendees will be transported by luxury motor coach and provided with lunch, beverages, and snacks.
The Go-to Garden Centers Retail Tour will first stop at Cornell Farm (Portland), which nurtures a casual atmosphere that entices customers to spend the day there.
Next, Farmington Gardens (Beaverton) will share how it meets customers’ needs with unique products, installation services and floral design.
After lunch, tourists will stop at The Garden Corner (Tualatin), to see their popular container garden offerings and hear how this unique destination nurtures “garden rebels.”
The last stop will be Dennis’ 7 Dees Landscaping & Garden Center (Lake Oswego), which was newly remodeled and offers spectacular plant and local gift selections.
