AFE appoints new officers, trustees
The American Floral Endowment (AFE) has announced its new chairman of the board, officer and trustee appointments, effective Sept. 1.
Assuming the chairman of the board position from Ken Young of Phoenix Flower Shops is David Garcia of the Pete Garcia Co. Other new executive committee appointments include Bill Foster as AFE’s treasurer/secretary, Laura Shinall assuming the floral marketing fund chair position, and the appointment of Art Van Wingerden to the AFE executive committee.
The young professional council advisor to the board position, held by Melinda Knuth, Ph.D., also transitions to Joshua Craver, Ph.D., from Colorado State University.
AFE would also like to recognize the outgoing members of the board for their service and dedication: Pat Dahlson, David Boulton, Jim Daly, Steve Frye, and Mauricio Jaramillo.
