AmericanHort Updates Health and Safety Guidelines for Cultivate’21

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine rescinded all health restrictions related to COVID-19 that required the wearing of facial coverings at indoor and outdoor gatherings, and for retail and business compliance, effective June 2.

In addition, Franklin County, Ohio, has made similar changes and on June 7, the Columbus City Council voted to repeal the mask mandate based on advice of Columbus Public Health, the Centers for Disease Control, and the state Department of Health. Based on this, masks will not be required to be worn during Cultivate’21 or the Hemp Conference at Cultivate.

A statement from AmericanHort reads: We realize everyone faces a unique situation and the regulations where you reside may be different. Some Cultivate participants may choose to wear a mask and we respect this personal decision.

AmericanHort places the health and well-being of all attendees, exhibitors, speakers, volunteers, and staff as a top priority. We are taking the following measures to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all participants:

  • We will have a supply of masks available for anyone who wants one.
  • Hand sanitation stations will be located throughout the Greater Columbus Convention Center
  • We will follow enhanced cleaning protocols.
  • Education sessions are scheduled to minimize the number of people exiting sessions at a given time.
