On April 29, the American Nursery & Landscape Association (ANLA) will offer two different webinars on the Affordable Care Act.

One of the webinars will address the Act’s impact on small employers and another for companies with more than 50 employees. Both webinars are free.

The first webinar, “Always a Small Employer,” will address the choices employees will have to make and the effect on small businesses (less than 50 employees). Topics such as individual mandates, premium assistance, and taxable versus nontaxable benefits will be covered in the session.

It will take place at 11:30 a.m. Eastern time on April 29.To register for this webinar, click here

Later that day, a second webinar, “Large or Potential Large Employer,” will cover the elements of determining the 50-employee threshold for large employer status. It will also cover the interplay between the individual mandates, premium assistance, and your exposure for penalties.

It is scheduled to take place at 3:30 Eastern time. Click here to register for this webinar.

The presenter will be John Satagaj, president and general counsel of the Small Business Legislative Council, an ANLA member organization. Satagaj has been representing small businesses for more than 30 years and is known for his ability to take complex issues such as tax laws and health care reform and communicate about them in a way that makes sense to business people.

SBLC is a permanent coalition of more than 50 associations like ANLA that share a common interest in promoting small business public policy.
