Botany Lane’s Denver Open House to Feature New Proven Winners Varieties

Botany Lane is hosting an open house for growers, retailers, wholesalers and customers at the Denver Botanic Gardens on Thursday, March 21, 2019, to celebrate the first day of spring and preview new introductions from Proven Winners.

Attendees will be treated to presentations by representatives from Proven Winners, Plant Select, and Botany Lane Greenhouse from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All attendees will have free access to the gardens before and after the presentations.

Meagan Owens from Proven Winners and Andy Huntington from Pleasant View Gardens will unveil new varieties for 2019 and discuss promotional opportunities and information available to retailers. Meagan says, “Proven Winners is very excited to be furthering our partnership with Botany Lane by taking part in this great event. We can’t wait to share the Proven Winners story and talk about some great new varieties and must haves for the 2019 season. We also look forward to sharing the many different ways Botany Lane customers can put Proven Winners marketing to work in their garden centers!”

Plant Select is the country’s leading brand of plants designed to thrive in high plains and intermountain regions, and Botany Lane Greenhouse produces liners and finished plants of some of their most popular offerings, including penstemon, delosperma, agastache, and more. Ross Shrigley from Plant Select will be on hand to share new varieties and discuss some old favorites.  The Denver Botanic Garden, with its focus on dry gardens, is a perfect setting to learn all about Plant Select’s offerings.

Botany Lane Greenhouse will showcase their “mile high succulents,” including new varieties available to IGCs in 2019. Also, they will be debuting their new line of Patio Container Combos and Hanging Basket Combos for 2019. “We are super excited to show some of the recent European trends in succulent gardens, as well as a new line of cactus. We will also be featuring the newest varieties of Hollywood Hibiscus and Diamantina Dipladenia and Mandevillia hybrids from Ball Ingenuity,” says Scott Fulton, general manager of Botany Lane Greenhouse.

As a perk, all attendees will receive admission to the 24 acre Denver Botanic Gardens for the entire day, before and after the presentations.
