Charlie Hall to keynote 2026 Farwest Show

Oregon Association of Nurseries (OAN) has announced that Charlie Hall, Ph.D., will present the keynote at the Farwest Show, taking place Aug. 26-28 in Portland, Oregon.

Hall will deliver “Overcoming Decision Paralysis in the Midst of Uncertainty” at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26. Free to registered attendees and exhibitors, Hall will help attendees cope with the pressure of a changing economy and cut through the uncertainty. With a deep understanding of both economics and the green industry, he’ll share practical insights and strategies to help attendees protect what they’ve built and position their business for growth.

“We’re so excited to welcome Dr. Hall back to Portland,” said Jamie Moore, events and education coordinator for the Oregon Association of Nurseries. “Attendees will hear essential information to guide their businesses in these turbulent times. Hall is known for his ability to explain what’s happening with the economy, translating complex concepts into actionable strategies. People will leave feeling inspired and equipped to face the challenges ahead.”

Hall grew up on a nursery in North Carolina and today is a trusted industry expert in innovative management and marketing strategies, financial analysis and the economic outlook for nursery and greenhouse crops. He serves as a professor in the Department of Horticultural Sciences at Texas A&M University, where he holds the prestigious Ellison Chair in International Floriculture.
