On-Line Panel Discussion to Address No-Contact Sales
As the industry continues to deal with the challenges presented by COVID-19, garden center retailers are turning to online sales and curbside pickup now more than ever to help keep retail businesses safely open. These are two ways to provide no-contact sales.

Bridget Behe, professor of horticulture at Michigan State University will moderate a panel discussion where you will learn from retailers who have had this sales model in place for a while and from a retailer who is new to the game.
The scheduled panelists are:
- Jennifer Moss, director of sales and marketing, Moss Greenhouses, Jerome, Idaho, – started online sales with curbside pick-up and delivery service this spring. Jennifer will share what she has learned as they’ve entered these new sales channels.
- Ben Polzin, owner of Down to Earth Garden Center in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, will share what he has learned from operating a small boutique and garden center’s with moderate online sales experience.
- Jill Umpherville, owner of Dutch Gardens in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Dutch Growers started as a nursery and has vastly expanded into a variety of plant and product offerings for the home. Jill will share her online sales expertise with us.
