Sloat Garden Center to Donate to Sonoma Fire Relief

Sloat Garden Center, in the San Francisco Bay area, donated 10 percent of pre-tax sales on Dec. 1-3 to North Bay fire relief (with a minimum $25,000 donation). All donations will benefit the Sonoma Community Resilience Fund.

“We were heartbroken and felt helpless to watch the fires ravage Sonoma County and beyond,” said Sloat Garden Center president & CEO Dave Stoner. “With so many losses and people displaced from their homes, we knew we had to help, so we looked to the Community Foundation of Sonoma County.”

With 34 years of experience in philanthropy, the Community Foundation of Sonoma County (Sonoma County Resilience Fund), knows how to make strategic and impactful grants to support the well-being of our community. Over the years they’ve distributed more than $200 million dollars to Sonoma County organizations addressing issues such as housing, hunger, economic well-being and mental health.

Recovery from the fires will take years; the Community Foundation of Sonoma County is committed to this community for the long term. They launched the Sonoma County Resilience Fund to address the mid to long-term needs of those impacted by these devastating fires.
