Hort Couture Plants’ Under the Sea coleus took top honors at this year’s Garden Idol Contest at ANLA Management Clinic in Louisville, Ky.

Hort Couture Plants’ Under the Sea coleus took top honors at this year’s Garden Idol Contest at ANLA Management Clinic in Louisville, Ky.

“This is not only a victory for an extraordinary collection of plants, but also a victory for the IGC,” said HCP’s Jim Monroe. “This gives the IGC something great to talk about this spring that is only for the independent channel.”

The coleus was bred by college students in Canada and the royalties from plant sales go back to the university and their horticulture programs.

Under the Sea Coleus liners are currently available from C. Raker & Sons an can be purchased from selected brokers as unrooted cuttings.
