Mosquito Control

Summit Mosquito Bits, a popular biological control that kills mosq_uito larvae, is now approved for the control of fungus gnats in house and container plants. The active ingredient is a biological larvicide called BTI (Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis). BTI is a naturally occurring bacterium that’s deadly to both mosquito larvae and fungus gnat larvae. Just shake the granular Mosquito Bits onto the potting soil. When the plants are watered, the BTI in the Mosquito Bits is released. Mosquito Bits are 100 percent natural and biodegradable, and they won’t harm people, animals, fish or birds.
