Griffin to relocate distribution center
Griffin is relocating its West Coast distribution operations from Gresham, Oregon, to a new facility in Reno, Nevada, to improve service to greenhouse and horticulture customers.
The Reno Distribution Center is expected to open Oct. 6 at 550 Spice Islands Dr. in Sparks, Nevada. The move is designed to reduce delivery times, expand available inventory and strengthen supply chain reliability for growers.
Griffin announced that shipments from the Gresham facility will stop between Sept. 29 and Oct. 6, while inventory is transferred to Reno. Shipments from the new facility are expected to begin Oct. 8.
“This transition allows us to better support our customers during peak planting and selling seasons,” said the Griffin team in its announcement.
The company encouraged customers to plan ahead during the transition week to avoid service interruptions.
