HIP Labels taps Copeland as general manager

HIP Labels has hired horticulture business veteran Chris Copeland as general manager.

Copeland’s expertise and experience in operations and logistics intend to raise the bar in HIP’s mission to provide customers with high-quality plant label goods and services.

Copeland will play a key role, strategically and tactically, in developing and executing efforts that build on the HIP Labels reputation for innovation and solution. His connection to and knowledge of the horticulture industry will be a resource in working directly with current and new clientele.

Copeland most recently was COO at Metrolina Greenhouses’ York facility, working with the company from 2013 to the present. From 2001-2013, he was general manager at Layman Nurseries and director of perennial sales at Costa Layman.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Chris to our team,” said Bob Lovejoy, president and owner of HIP Labels. “Chris’s visionary approach, strategic mindset, and passion for excellence align perfectly with HIP’s values and objectives. He will be a powerful asset to propel us to new heights and reinforce our position as an industry leader.”

“I’m looking forward to this new chapter in my career,” said Copeland. “I’m excited to use my operational and logistical experience to help our partners meet the challenges of today and tomorrow with solutions for label management in general, and order minimums and timeline alignments in particular.”
