Langendoen Mechanical hosts open house

More than 200 guests, including growers, trade partners and industry leaders, attended Langendoen Mechanical’s recent open house celebrating its newest greenhouse project and ongoing innovation in the horticultural sector.

The event was held Nov. 6 at Casa Orchids in Beamsville, Ontario, and brought together members of the region’s greenhouse community for networking and facility tours. Attendees explored new heating, cooling and automation systems while connecting with suppliers and greenhouse professionals.

Special guests included Sandra Easton, mayor of the Town of Lincoln, who commended Casa Orchids and Langendoen Mechanical for their investment in Niagara’s greenhouse industry and contributions to local employment.

“Our goal was to create an event that not only showcased the incredible work our team and partners do every day, but also strengthened the connections that make this industry so special,” said Dan Langendoen, president of Langendoen Mechanical.

Michael Pang, owner of Casa Orchids, said working with Langendoen Mechanical on the project was a positive experience and demonstrated the value of collaboration between growers and contractors.

Trade partners such as CMS Electric, George de Groot Laser Grading & Excavating, O’Hara Trucking & Excavating and Tradewind Greenhouse Floor Systems supported the event with displays and door prizes. Guests also participated in a self-guided tour of the new greenhouse facility, offering an inside look at Langendoen Mechanical’s system design and installation work.

A virtual version of the tour is available on the Langendoen Mechanical website.
