Monrovia creates garden retail opportunities with Lavender Week
Monrovia created Lavender Week to help to keep the Mother’s Day momentum going. The mid-May event highlights all the reasons this popular plant should be included in every garden.
“Lavender is such a versatile plant for gardeners and for retailers,” said Katie Tamony, CMO and trendspotter for Monrovia. “It’s a great impulse purchase or gift item, perfect for “treat yourself” themed endcaps or for design trend displays.”
Lavender might just be the “it plant” for the wellness gardening trend. Monrovia’s consumer research shows the connection between gardening and feeling positive continues to grow. More than half of those surveyed say that gardening is good for their mental health. Plants that add fragrance to the garden provide a tangible connection to the feeling of well-being and relaxation.
Monrovia is offering retailers P.O.P. posters and digital graphics to help celebrate and promote the benefits of all different types of lavender. The company is also providing tips for selecting the perfect lavender variety, growing guides and design inspiration on its social channels throughout the week.
More resources for retailers can be found on Monrovia’s Garden Gateway customer portal.
