PlantHaven, Green Fuse announce dianthus partnership
PlantHaven International and Green Fuse Botanicals are joining forces to expand the Pinks By Whetman program to North American growers.
Beginning in week 20, Green Fuse will produce unrooted cuttings of the Selecta One Pinks By Whetman program, including the Star Single and American Pie collections, from its Somis, California, facility.
By opening production of unrooted cuttings to California, Green Fuse intends to provide North American growers with quick access, top-notch quality and outstanding supply flexibility. Cuttings are harvested from virus-indexed, tissue-culture based stock under the coastal climate of Ventura County, ensuring toned, healthy and uniform material.
“We are excited for increased accessibility of premium cuttings for growers,” said Robert Bett, PlantHaven International. “The Whetman program has always set the global standard in hardy dianthus. Now, with Green Fuse producing domestically, we’re able to offer the highest quality cuttings with wide brokerage access for growers across North America.”
Cuttings will be available through any brokerage company, allowing flexibility for growers to source material through existing relationships.
