2025 Farwest Show to include 2-day Climate Summit
Climate change isn’t a future issue — it’s a now issue. As growers, landscapers and green industry leaders, we’re already part of the solution. But proving our environmental value — and shaping climate policy — starts with showing up.
Farwest Show, taking place Aug. 20-22, will include a free, two-day Climate Summit. The event aims to connect attendees with researchers, innovators and policymakers for candid conversations about climate, sustainability, and the green industry’s role in both.
Day 1, on Wednesday, Aug. 20, will focus on Research-Driven Discovery. Featuring experts from Oregon State University, Northwest Power and Conservation Council, and top nurseries, attendees can learn how updated research can quantify the carbon benefits and climate impacts of plants.
Day 2, on Thursday, Aug. 21, will include a Policy Roundtable. Policymakers and growers in a collaborative discussion on the role of the nursery industry on climate policy.
Topics include:
- Carbon sequestration through plant production
- Lifecycle benefits in the built environment
- Agricultural mitigation practices
- Participation in carbon credit markets
- Regulatory relief and incentives
Attendance at the Climate Summit is free but exclusive to registered Farwest Show attendees. Make sure you’re registered for the show to join this event.
