DeVroomen highlights youth gardening with Sesame Street display
DeVroomen Garden Products introduced a Sesame Street-themed display garden at Keukenhof Gardens this spring, featuring an Elmo mosaic designed to encourage younger audiences to explore gardening.
The display debuted April 18 during a special event attended by Sesame Street characters Elmo and Cookie Monster. During the event, Sesame Street-themed bulb blends were officially introduced.
In addition to the Sesame Street installation, DeVroomen also created a larger display garden in the northwest section of Keukenhof Gardens. The planting was designed to provide approximately seven weeks of blooms through a succession of early spring bulbs, tulips, daffodils and allium.
The garden combines pastel tones with mixed-color bulb displays intended to provide continuous color throughout the season.
Keukenhof Gardens, which opened to the public in 1950, attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually and is recognized internationally for its seasonal bulb displays.
“We are honored to share our gardens with visitors from across the globe and to be part of an event that celebrates the beauty and impact of flowering bulbs,” said Angela Schultz, general manager at DeVroomen Garden Products.
