iBulb names ranunculus Summer Bulb of the Year
iBulb (Royal Anthos) has named the Persian buttercup Summer Bulb of the Year 2025. With its many color variations, the Persian buttercup is a real summer eye-catcher in gardens and on balconies and terraces.
The Persian buttercup (ranunculus) is known for its full-bodied flowers in a range of colors: from bright-yellow and orange to soft-pink and deep-red. It is a flower suitable in the garden, in pots on a patio or balcony or as a cut flower.
The plant grows up to 6 to 14 inches tall, and the flowers can be up to 3 inches in diameter. Bulbs should be planted in the spring and will produce flowers from June to August.
Persian buttercups also contribute to biodiversity, as they attract a variety of insects, such as bees and butterflies, which provide pollination and a healthy garden.
