Kamron Newberry Joins the AmericanHort D.C. Office

Kamron Newberry joins AmericanHort’s D.C. office

Kamron Newberry has joined the AmericanHort Advocacy and Government Affairs team in Washington, D.C., as advocacy project coordinator.

He will help develop and manage strategic advocacy projects for AmericanHort and its members. His initial focus will be on updating the American Standard for Nursery Stock, the ANSI certified industry-standard providing buyers and sellers of nursery stock with a common terminology to facilitate commercial transactions involving nursery stock.

A Texas Tech University alum, Kamron brings a strong horticultural background with a bachelor’s degree in plant soil science and a master’s degree in horticulture science.

Most recently, Kamron worked for Bartlett Tree Experts in Washington, D.C., as an arborist plant healthcare technician, following his graduation from Texas Tech and became a certified arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture. Kamron is originally from the panhandle of Texas.
