I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but I do want to remind you one final time to submit your entries to become Lawn & Garden Retailer’s 2017 Merchandiser of the Year. You only have until Friday!
I’ve already enjoyed seeing the numerous entries come through, and we’re getting together a panel of judges ready to look at all the wonderful displays. This really is one of my favorite times of the year!
The winner of the 2017 competition will receive the Dramm 60116 Display, which retails for $2,778, a $500 Wholesale Gift Credit and a 15 percent discount for Braun Horticulture’s 2017 Catalog offering (one time), and bragging rights worth so much more.

Next week is National Pollinator Week! Is your garden center doing anything special from June 19-25 to celebrate the occasion?
I took a look at the Pollinator Partnership website and discovered that the week started 10 years ago with the U.S. Senate’s approval. And we know that now more than ever, it’s a hot topic.
If you haven’t picked up your June issue of the magazine yet, you should do so. Among many other articles, you’ll find one focused on “What’s Trending for Wildlife?” Also, flip through our Inspiration Book, which has some great pollinator-friendly plant display ideas (and even some staff uniforms) that support the cause.
