Al’s Wins Agri-Business of the Year Award
Al’s Garden Centers and Greenhouses have been selected as the 2011 Agri-Business of the Year, by SEDCOR, the Strategic Economic Development Corporation, reports Michael Rose.
The recent announcement recognized Al’s Garden Centers and Greenhouses for their excellence in agri-business and for their role in supporting the future of agriculture in the mid-Willamette Valley. Greenhouse and nursery products are Oregon’s top agricultural commodity, according to the Oregon Department of Agriculture and Al’s is an active participant in the Oregon’s nursery community.
Jack Bigej, owner of Al’s Garden Centers, accepted the award and thanked SEDCOR, saying that he feels very blessed to have been a part of the local community over the years and is looking forward to the 4th generation of Bigej’s working in the business this summer.
