Respected Chicagoland Nursery Owner Dies at 88

Frank Pesche, the longtime owner of Pesche’s Flower & Garden Center in Des Plaines, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 8, at the age of 88.

The family business was started in 1923 by Frank’s father, Fred Pesche, who had 11 children all working in the garden center, nursery and flower shop at some point. According to an article in the Daily Herald, Frank was at Pesche’s seven days a week up until three years ago.

Frank’s son, Chris Pesche, now runs the business.
