The 32nd edition of Glee, a leading trade event for the garden, pet and leisure industries, which took place Sept. 16-18, 2007, at the National Exhibition Center (NEC) in Birmingham, England, attracted more than 1,500 exhibitors. More than 22,000 visitors attended the show, including growing numbers of North American garden centers, mail-order catalogs and chain stores.

“As the feedback we’ve already received clearly shows, this year’s Glee was all about quality. Our new initiatives, such as the buyer-friendly layout, fresh approach to Glee New Products and the introduction of our Going Green trail, have certainly attracted positive comments,” said show director Dan Thurlow.

Thurlow also confirmed that fresh developments for the show are already underway. “Going forward we plan to make continual improvements to Glee’s successful format,” he said. “We have conducted face-to-face and telephone research with a wide cross section of exhibitors and visitors, to find out their views.”

Glee is Europe’s largest annual exhibitions for the garden, pet and leisure trades and features a wide range of products, including nursery plants, garden machinery, garden care, landscaping products, retail services, garden furniture, outdoor living accessories, water gardening, gifts, clothing, specialty foods, homewares, pet products and more.

Next year’s Glee is scheduled for Sept. 21-23, 2008, at the National Exhibition Center in Birmingham. For more information, contact Adam Ash at (609) 921-0222 or [email protected].
