Monrovia wants to make Mother’s Day SunBelievable
Garden centers can boost their Mother’s Day sales this year with an all-in-one program featuring helianthus ‘SunBelievable Brown-Eyed Girl’. Showcasing one of Monrovia’s most popular summer annuals, the “Give Mom a SunBelievable Day” program includes a pre-loaded display and marketing promotion for in store.
A free weather-resistant, recyclable display comes pre-packed with 135 blooming 1-gallon SunBelievable plants. The Wet Tech light and sturdy board display is designed to handle weeks of outdoor weather and is fully recyclable in a standard corrugated recycling bin. Its footprint is 3.5 feet square by 4 feet tall, taking up minimal space for the promotion season. Included free with the display for participating stores are promotional counter cards, 100 gift tags and buttons for staff.
“A SunBelievable sunflower is the perfect gift for Mother’s Day,” said Katie Tamony, chief marketing officer for Monrovia. “It’s the gift that keeps giving, from spring to first frost. Each plant delivers 1,000 blooms throughout the season. Our eye-catching display and promotion draws customers in and gives them an easy gift solution to buy. This is a way for stores to have a pop-up Mother’s Day event.”
Monrovia will also be supporting the program to its 100,000 email subscribers, 325,000 social media followers, and on its website in April and May. An ad campaign Give Mom a SunBelievable Day will run from April 21-May 12. The displays will ship starting mid-April.
