Suntory Flowers Japan installs carnation displays for Mother’s Day
Suntory Flowers recently installed limited-time Mother’s Day floral displays featuring its blue Mooncarnation variety at four parks in Japan.
The Mooncarnations Hearts of Happiness were placed at Funabashi Andersen Park, Kyoto Botanical Gardens, Nagai Botanical Garden and Hamanako Garden Park. Each display used Mooncarnations, marketed as the world’s only blue carnation, to create a photo-focused attraction for visitors.
The displays were designed to mark Mother’s Day and encourage public interaction. Visitors were invited to take photos within the installations, which were intended to create an immersive setting centered on blue flowers.
According to the company, the heart-shaped design was meant to symbolize appreciation and gratitude associated with the holiday. The installations were positioned in high-traffic public garden settings to maximize visibility and engagement.
The concept highlights how seasonal floral displays can be used in public spaces to create themed experiences tied to holidays and events.
