Terra Nova introduces new heuchera variety
Terra Nova Nurseries has introduced heuchera ‘Paris White’, a new addition to its City Collection, featuring upright ivory white flowers and dense green foliage.
The variety flowers from May until frost and is most active in spring. It has a mounding habit and reaches 8 inches tall, 16 inches wide and 14 inches in flower height. ‘Paris White’ grows in full sun to partial shade and is suited for Zones 4 to 9.
For growers, finish time from a liner to a 4-inch pot is six to eight weeks. Finish time from a liner to a 1-gallon pot is 10 to 12 weeks. Terra Nova’s breeding team recommends allowing the plant to dry slightly between waterings during greenhouse finishing.
The company said ‘Paris White’ performs as a cut flower for bouquets, a blender or contrast plant and in containers. It also attracts hummingbirds and pollinators.
The variety grows best in moderately well-drained, organic soils and has average water needs, preferring drier conditions once established.
