McIntosh Greenhouse & Garden Center of Goshen, Indiana, will close for good this September after 40 years of service, reports Justin Leighty of The Elkhart Truth. Owners Kim and Sue Wilfong recognize area competition – Lowes, Menard’s and Amish greenhouses – as a contributing factor to their decision.
Sue also added, ” My wishes would be that somebody would want to go ahead and buy the greenhouse and run it as a greenhouse and a garden center. Kim and I are tired. I think it needs some youth.”
On the McIntosh Greenhouse website, a final goodbye to customers and plans for selling off the remaining inventory can be found.
