Millstadt/Heimos Poinsettia Open House to Take Place Nov. 16
Millstadt Young Plants and N.G. Heimos Greenhouses will hold their 10th annual poinsettia open house on Nov. 16, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The open house will showcase a comparison trial of more than 150 poinsettia varieties from six different breeders: Beekenkamp, Ball/Selecta, Dümmen Orange, Rinehart, Syngenta and Suntory — finished naturally and short day.
This year’s featured speakers are James Faust, Clemson University, and Will Healy, Ball Horticultural Co. Faust will speak on “The History and Development of Poinsettias” and Healy will discuss “Finishing up Strong, Off to a good Start!”
Breakfast and lunch will be sponsored by the breeders.
